How To Transition Your Wardrobe To Fall in 7 Easy Steps

Hi cutie pies! I'm back again with another post. Now that we are descending into the best parts of the year,  I'm gonna be sharing with you some very useful tips on how to transition your wardrobe from summer to fall effectively with out going broke before Halloween. These tips can suit anyone. If you're that kind of person that dresses for the different seasons because your weather dictates that then this would be helpful for you. If you want to know how to swap your fun summery prints to the somewhat muted and darker tones of autumn I'm here to help! I know its seems kinda confusing, especially if you're living in a country that is summer almost all year round, but I promise its actually really easy! I'm gonna give you guys 7 foolproof steps to transitioning your wardrobe from summer to fall.

1. Since the season just started we still have a few more weeks of sunshine so sandals open-toe shoes and light canvas shoes are still wearable. You might not want to go straight for the boots but if you want you can opt for more sturdier and darker shades for your shoes. For example, your light colored jelly sandals can be swapped for brown or tan leather sandals. I am wearing sandals from Ashley Stewart in a dark blue: perfect for early autumn warmer days. Same thing for other shoes you may have. The sturdier versions of your summer shoes is a great way to begin your transition to fall.

2. Speaking of darker colors you might want to have a good look at your wardrobe. Some of the pieces you may have are already perfect for your fall transitioning. Maybe you own a dark yellow, white, black or khaki maxi dress. Kinda like what I'm wearing here. Just add one of your sturdier sandals and you're good to go!

3. When you plan your fall wardrobe make sure to start adding in warmer pieces. Because as much as the sun may shine it'll become chillier and then you'll be left without any jacket and the cute guy/girl might not want to lend you theirs. So... I know you tryna be cute, and you are, but remember to switch your flowy, airy kimonos for more thicker ones. Preferably one that is made of cotton, or a thicker jersey. This will still keep you cool on the warmer days but you won't be caught slipping if it do decides to chill up. Got a cute pair of jeans? Try adding a jacket made with a heavy fabric like wool or denim. Side note: if you live in a tropical country or any country where its hot the majority of the year sticking with your airy kimonos is wise to prevent heatstroke. Just get them in any fall inspired color of your choice!

4. When people think of fall transitioning many of them look at the colors associated with the season. Awesome! This will help you to find more pieces and stay up with the seasons trends (if that's your thing). Think of the changing leaves (red, brown, green, a dark yellow). Try incorporating this in your fall wardrobe and outfits. A cute top, burgundy skinnies and you're good to go!

5. Denim is your friend. You probably tried to stay away from it during the summer but you'll want to dust off that jacket soon enough for your fall wardrobe. If wearing a trench coat or a thick heavy jacket isn't your thing get a thick denim jacket. Its very transitional and less cumbersome and goes with almost everything. Pair it with jeans for a warm denim on denim look or with a dress for a timeless chic.

6. Keep your jewelry light. I'd even go as far as to say stick to non metals. I found out the hard way that metal feels like fire in the cold.

7. Have fun! This is the best time of the year! Its autumn, Halloween, my birthday...Christmas! Enjoy it! Just remember it's all just clothes in the end.

So there you have it! 7 easy steps to transition to fall. I hope these tips help you in creating a bomb wardrobe this year. Good luck and stay warm!
