OOTD: Blues

OUTFIT DEETS: Shirt/Jacket- Primark| Jeans/Belt-Newlook| Shoes/Bag-E5P (SOLD OUT)| Glasses/Earrings- Ebay| Lipstick-Poundland
Hi Guys! This is just a quick OOTD I wanted to share with you before I go radio silent for a few days. I am moving house at the moment and it is so hectic right now! The boxes and suitcases are stack high up one of my bedroom walls and the kitchen counter is littered with pots and pans. The saddest thing is I have to transport all of this by train. I can just hear the grumpy mutters and stares next Wednesday. I am NOT looking forward to that. But on the (very) bright side I wore my Primark jacket today since it wasn't very warm. Finally got to wear it as I wanted to for ages!  I got it after spring but it was already too hot to wear it. I opted for all black so the colors could clash a bit and finally used my suede box bag to finish the outfit.

Here's a fun fact: I don't wear makeup. I know, I know some people might argue that mascara and lipstick are makeup but what I mean is that the foundation, concealer like stuff I don't wear. I would use a bit of eyeshadow when I'm feeling it but not all the time. Instead I try to moisturize as often as I can remember or just waste numerous hours watching other women expertly apply makeup (What sorcery is that?). I do love lipstick though and only just started wearing it....this year. I'm wearing my favorite Poundland one in Black Cherry but the thing is I am wearing a tinted lip gloss underneath. Yup, you read that right. I found out one day that my lipstick lasts longer if I put the lipstick over the gloss and it looks better (to me). Anyway who's to say how its actually supposed to be worn? HaHa.

I Sinceriously Love Crop Tops...

Crop top season is here so the time to don one is upon you. In recent light of a major magazine's blunder in which it was said that you should only wear a crop top if you have a flat stomach I am seriously sick of random irrelevant people policing women's bodies. They are making it seem as if they're the be all and end all when it comes to fashion. I wonder how they fathom that a woman with a bit of a belly cannot pull off a crop top. Its not that hard! All she'll need is a crop top, some bottoms and she's set! So damn annoying!

To combat all of the negativity I decided to wear my shirt from Arrow's Stephen Amell Sinceriously campaign. I was really excited to wear this as I had not a chance to before or anything to wear it with. The shirt was tighter around the tummy than I liked so I folded it under the words to make a cute crop. Pairing it with my camo jacket and booties from Primark I inadvertently created a GabiFresh style capture. I quite happy about that because I absolutely love Gabi. Her style is so much like mine since we both gravitate to more street looks.

I kinda like when I put on an outfit that captures a favorite blogger. It makes me feel like I'm not still a kid playing dress up but I'm actually learning the rules from the pros as to how to actually put together and wear clothing.

Its amazing how influential some people are. Take my top for an instance. Stephen Amell created the word sinceriously. Then he began a campaign to benefit the charities Stand for the Silent & Paws and Stripes. The reason I bought it was to support a favorite actor's charity and in return feel good about helping someone  I'd never have or will meet. By doing this I unknowingly represented what the word sinceriously means: To initiate any action while spreading as much good karma as possible. I never would have thought of to donate to those charities but through him I did. Since the other definition for sinceriously is 'The ability to speak freely, openly and honestly about anything'  I sinceriously feel good about that.

Whats Wrong With 'Curvy'? Better Yet What's Wrong With Instagram?

I've been seeing around the net that Instagram banned the hashtag 'curvy' and I'm a bit confused. Like what was wrong with it? Did someone use it in a way to hurt someone's feelings so it had to be removed? Why are they banning simple words and not the pornographic shit I haplessly see when  scrolling through Discover. Oh wait! Apparently #curvy was also used so people who have nothing better to do on Instagram could find porn not just to find CURVY women (or things).

Whaaaat? Is this in the same line with the emoticons used in their devil worship that were removed a while back? Still I see no need or reason to ban it. If anything delete the porn accounts. That will solve a lot of problems namely I can get  blessed again and not be worried that I'm sending my soul to hell when I stumble upon a guy who doesn't know to keep his peepee in his pants (God NO ONE WANTS TO SEE THAT!). And the numerous times I've used #curvy on my pics I don't believe my tits and ass were hanging out in any way to be construed as pornographic.

Many women have spoken up about it many of which you can see in Buzzfeed's article about women responding to the ban. But since Instagram doesn't seem to care at all the lovely women of Instagram  created a new hashtag (Way to go girls!) '#curvee' which is basically the same thing but...without the..y? Anyway it seems like a lot of places are going to be cracking down on simple words for no God given reason so I think we should take some time out of our daily lives to follow the trend of creating new words. Here I'll start: Instagram is ABSOTIVELY bonkers!

What about you? Do you think it should be banned? Comment below!

Spotted...

Happy Sunday every one! I was thrilled to be invited to a Sunday service at a local church since I haven't been in a while. It was a lovely day for an outing as well with the sun shining and all. I've been dying to wear this lovely spotted skirt. I had it for a while and I didn't know what to wear it with. The skirt originally had knife pleats but it looked weird on so I ironed the pleats out. This resulted in making the skirt more flowy. I wore it with these cute top and shoes from E5P and it was an outfit matched in heaven. The top has lace on the sleeves near the shoulders and this makes it so cute. My belt is from Newlook and my necklace is thrifted.

N.B: My camera is on the way out so I am using my phone camera until it gets fixed.
